one of the windiest days...

so, guess what?
My mom. TOTALLY rejected my ski trip idea.
Like, what the fcuk.
What does she have to lose by letting me go on a ski trip with my friends for 3 days.
I'm paying for all of it...
With my hard earned money from work.
It's 3 friggin days. With my closest friends.
It's not like I'm going with strangers.
Or a mysterious boy my family doesn't know about.
And besides, I'm legal enough to make decisions on my own.
sheesh.
I definitely think it's one of those
"oh, my eldest daughter...blah blah blah...dangerous people...blah blah blah...safety..."
Like, holy shit.
I'm not 12 anymore.
-sorry, for the partially ranting moment, this incident happened like 5 minutes ago-
So, this is what happened:
Me: hey mom, during christmas break, can me and my friends go on a 3 days ski trip?
Mom: *looks at me* No.
Me: Why?! -I was pretty sure she was going to say yes-
Mom: No, why don't you guys go on a 1 day ski trip?
Me: Mom, it's Christmas break, 3 days. 3 days! and i'm paying for all of it. -pissed off tone-
Mom: *gives me "the look"* and then walks away
Me: Mom! Mom! -she's still not turning around-
[note: the look is a face my mom makes when she thins out her lips and just stares at you like you're the most evil person on earth.]
Yes, my life sucks.
And unluckily, i didn't have a choice in the type of personality my mother would have.
My dad's totally cool...well most of the time.
He understands better, you can say.
I'm going to propose my idea to him when he comes home.
Hopefully he'll be on my side and give my mom and talking to. -mad at her at the moment.-
Like, my other friends. They ask and their parents, and they're like "Yea, sure" or "Sounds like a great idea!" with no like further comments and questioning.
But no, my mom has to be like asking "the 5 W's"...constantly.
She is so negative about things. Especially overnight trips.
It's a 3 day ski trip...what can possibly happen while I'm there? ;D

but seriously, it's the 21st century.

and trustworthy
and organized -somewhat-
I'm going to go mope in a corner and write some midterms for my swim kids. ;A;
